All Things Linen

Linen has been a core fabric for us from the start. A true go-to for vacation essentials designed in classic polos, everyday tees, cargo pants, shorts and more. Discover quick linen facts, how we're styling this fabric & our newest linen styles that are lightweight, tailored & refined for the modern man.

Cool Facts About Linen

Derived from the flax plant, pure linen is stronger and more durable than cotton. It’s also sustainable, meaning there’s almost no waste because the entire plant is used during fabric production. It holds color extremely well, plus it’s airy, dries quickly and has great resilience. Naturally, we love it—and turn to it season after season, adding an infusion of stretch and signature details like enamel-coated buttons to further elevate its comfort and refinement.

The Pull On Pant vs. The Traveler Pant

Both these men’s styles are Onia signatures, offering sublime comfort without compromising on function, tailoring or fit. For more of a relaxed daytime vibe, the Pull On Pant delivers: crisp and easy to wear, with a stretch elastic waist & a functional drawcord. It also has drape to it that adds to its leisurely style.

The Traveler Pant is a great versatile option if you’re packing light, but need to bridge both casual and dressier situations—it's designed like a pair of five-pocket jeans including a zip-fly, shank closure & crisp pockets, but is crafted from stretch linen which is way less restrictive.

New-in Cargos

Newest to The Linen Shop—Cargos. Our Cargo Shorts are airy enough to be cooling, but still hard-wearing in a longer length with plenty of utility pockets. A more streamlined take on the classic, our Cargo Pants in stretch linen strike a comfortable balance of ease and style, getting it spot-on in a crisp jogger silhouette that pulls on with an easy all-around elastic waist.

Linen to Live In

For a relaxed look that can be dressed up, depending on your plans, go for the low-key combination of linen on linen, in alike or contrasting tones. It’ll work great on the beach or poolside, especially when a bit rumpled, teamed with Onia swimwear. On weekends, go the casual route while still looking sharp, with jeans, a linen shirt and suede sandals or a pair of box-fresh white sneakers.

Keeping Your Linen in Crisp Condition

How to keep linen looking its best? For starters, ease up on the ironing—wrinkles are a natural, desirable characteristic of the fabric, however, if you must, steaming is recommended. As a general rule, hand-wash your linen in cool water with mild detergent and lay flat to dry. This will help preserve the fibers, keeping the color from fading and helping retain elasticity and shape, over time.
